TC-MET seminar shows the road for Indian e-commerce MUMBAI: Live Life Web Style-99, a day-long technical seminar, probed the future of e-commerce, Webvertising, the role of ISPs, Internet banking, cyberlaws, and network security. The event, held on October 9, was organised by Times Computing and the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) School of Management.

Live Life Web Style-99 was presided over by Sunil Karve, vice chairman and founder trustee, MET's director, Vasant Shelar, and S P Mudur, associate director, NCST.

Industry experts offered advice for undertaking business transactions through websites and also tackled related issues like security, funding from venture capitalists and Web marketing. During the course of the day, ICICI Bank presented a case study on Internet banking and Nanda Netcom discussed the future role of ISPs. There were security presentations from Arthur Andersen and sessions on Webvertising from Aptech and Quantum Link.
